Kushal Tanwar, known as Gullu, is currently inside the Bigg Boss 20 house and he is nominated for eviction this week.
He entered on Day 1 of the season, has already won the House Captaincy twice, and is now one of eight housemates facing the public vote ahead of Weekend Ka Vaar.
Kushal Tanwar (Gullu) Biography
He arrived with the strongest reality TV record of anyone in the house. Gullu is a two-time MTV champion: he won Roadies XX: Double Cross, then won Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa with partner Kaira Anu in May 2026. Very few contestants have taken titles on both of MTV India’s biggest shows.
Gullu in Bigg Boss 20
Bigg Boss 20, also known as Bigg Boss: Tathas-two, premiered on 6 September 2026 with Salman Khan hosting. It streams on JioHotstar at 9:00 pm IST and airs on Colors TV at 10:30 pm IST.
Current status: nominated for eviction, Week 5.
On Day 30, Bigg Boss nominated eight housemates: Gullu, Qazi Touqeer, Mahhi Vij, Kanika Mann, Aman Gandhi, Love Gill, Arishfa Khan and Mary Kom.
His run so far
| Week | What happened |
|---|---|
| Week 2 | Nominated for House Captain alongside Aasif Khan and Yung DSA |
| Week 3 | Won House Captaincy, beating Kanika Mann, Mahhi Vij and Rhiti Tiwari in the apple-collecting task |
| Week 4 | House Captain again, with immunity from the sacrifice-task nominations |
| Week 5 | Nominated for eviction |
Holding captaincy in back-to-back weeks made him one of the dominant players of the season’s opening month. As Week 4 captain he used the position to restore lost lives to Kanika Mann and Uditi Singh, and secured 80% of the week’s ration for the house.
The “Tathas-two” twist
This season every housemate entered with two lives. Losing a public vote costs a life rather than ending the game — a contestant only leaves once both lives are gone. Lives can also be taken by other housemates during tasks.
That rule is why being nominated this week doesn’t automatically mean Gullu’s season is over.
Who’s left in the house
Thirteen housemates remain. Three have left: Rohed Khan (Day 14), Isha Rikhi (Week 3) and Rhiti Tiwari (Day 28).
