Asmita Adhikari was one of the contestants on MTV Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa, the sixteenth season of India’s longest-running dating reality show, which ran from 9 January to 16 May 2026.
She became one of the season’s more visible contestants, particularly through her confrontations with eventual winner Kaira Anu.
The season she competed in
Splitsvilla X6 was filmed in Mahabalipuram and hosted by Karan Kundrra, with Nia Sharma and Uorfi Javed appearing as Mischief Makers. Sunny Leone co-hosted the grand finale.
The season’s format was its defining twist. Contestants were divided between a Pyaar Villa and a Paisa Villa love or money and were repeatedly forced to choose between forming genuine connections and chasing the prize. That split set the two groups against each other for most of the run.
The Kaira rivalry
Asmita’s most discussed storyline was her friction with Kaira Anu.
Kaira, who competed with the Paisa Villa group, was at the centre of several of the season’s biggest confrontations including clashes with Asmita, Akanksha Choudhary and Keona Walke. Those arguments became some of the most talked-about moments of the season on social media.
Kaira went on to win.
How the season ended
Asmita did not reach the final four. The finale on 16 May 2026 was contested by:
| Result | Couple |
|---|---|
| Winners | Kushal Tanwar (Gullu) and Kaira Anu |
| Runners-up | Yogesh Rawat and Ruru Thakur |
| Third place | Sorab Bedi and Niharika Tiwari |
| Fourth place | Tayne De Villiers and Soundharya |
Gullu and Kaira took the ₹20 lakh prize. For Gullu it was a second MTV title, after winning Roadies XX: Double Cross.

They are two different people. The singer has no connection to Splitsvilla. Several websites have mixed the two together, so it’s worth knowing before you read anything else about her.
