Most Splitsvilla contestants arrive as models or influencers. Akanksha Choudhary arrived as a national pageant finalist.
Before she entered MTV Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa, she competed at Miss Universe India 2025, held in Jaipur on 18 August 2025. She represented Rajasthan, entered as a wildcard, and reached the finals without winning the title, which went to Manika Vishwakarma.
That record is what separates her from most of the villa’s cast and it’s the part of her story most profiles leave out.

How old is Akanksha Choudhary?
This is where most pages about her go wrong, so it’s worth being precise.
The official Miss Universe India 2025 contestant list records her age as 22 at the time of the pageant in August 2025. That places her birth year around 2002 or 2003, making her 23 or 24 today.
Her exact date of birth has never been publicly confirmed. Sites listing a specific birthday and an age of 25 don’t match the official pageant record, so treat those with caution.
From Jaipur to the national pageant stage
Akanksha was born and raised in Jaipur, Rajasthan. She was active in sport and extracurriculars at school, including basketball, handball and NCC, and moved into fashion and modelling during college.
Her pageant career built steadily. She placed as first runner-up at Miss Rajasthan, then stepped up to the national stage.
Miss Universe India held its second edition in Jaipur on 18 August 2025, and Akanksha competed as a wildcard entry representing Rajasthan, reaching the finals. The crown went to Manika Vishwakarma, who went on to represent India at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand and finished in the Top 30.
Making the national finals of India’s premier pageant gave Akanksha a profile before Splitsvilla ever cast her.
Managing PCOD
Akanksha has spoken publicly about living with PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease), a hormonal condition that affects a large number of women in India and can be difficult to manage.
She has described working on it through long-term lifestyle changes regular daily movement, home-cooked meals, and a consistent sleep schedule rather than quick fixes, and has said the process took around a year and a half.
She’s talked about it openly because very few women in the public eye do, and because she wanted others managing the same condition to know it’s possible to feel better. If you’re dealing with PCOD yourself, speak to a doctor what works varies from person to person, and a plan that suited her may not suit you.
Akanksha Choudhary on Splitsvilla X6
Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa ran from 9 January to 16 May 2026, filmed in Mahabalipuram and hosted by Karan Kundrra, with Nia Sharma and Uorfi Javed as Mischief Makers. Sunny Leone co-hosted the grand finale.
The format split contestants between a Pyaar Villa and a Paisa Villa love or money. Akanksha joined the Pyaar Villa, choosing the connection side of the format over the prize side.
That choice shaped her season. The two villas were set against each other for much of the run, and Akanksha became one of the Pyaar Villa’s most visible contestants.
The Kaira rivalry
Her most talked-about storyline was her friction with Kaira Anu, who was on the opposing Paisa Villa side. Kaira was involved in several of the season’s biggest confrontations, and the clashes between the two were among the moments viewers discussed most.
Kaira went on to win the season with Kushal Tanwar (Gullu). Akanksha did not reach the final four, which was made up of Gullu and Kaira, Yogesh Rawat and Ruru Thakur, Sorab Bedi and Niharika Tiwari, and Tayne De Villiers and Soundharya.
After Splitsvilla
Akanksha’s following grew sharply across the season, and she has continued working in modelling, brand collaborations and lifestyle content.
